• We are very pleased to announce that the International Porcine Reproductive And Respiratory Syndrome Congress will be held on June 3rd-5th, 2015, in the historical city of Ghent, Belgium. This annual international meeting was initially organized in 2004 in Chicago and was subsequently always held in the USA. In May 2013, it was organized for the first time in Asia (Beijing, China) and a North American PRRS Symposium was also held in Chicago in December 2013, as well as in December 2014. It will therefore be held for the first time in Europe in 2015.
  • The first day will be devoted to review progress in the field of PRRSV evolution, replication cycle, pathogenesis and immunity. The second day will cover all aspects linked to PRRS control, including diagnostics and vaccines. A round table aiming at defining strategies for future PRRS control actions in Europe, America and Asia will be organized. Veterinarians, virologists, academics, authorities, pharmaceutical industries as well as PhD students are encouraged to participate.
  • Most of Ghent’s medieval architecture remains intact and is remarkably well preserved or restored, which explains why the National Geographic Traveler Magazine listed Ghent as one of the most authentic city of the world. Because of its geographic localization at the confluence of the Rivers Scheldt and Leie, the city has also a vibrant life and nightlife, with the Port located in the North and the University that also attracted many research oriented companies. We therefore strongly encourage you to come to Ghent and also, to taste the Belgian gastronomy. Ghent is only 50 km away from Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp and with the high speed train Thalys, only two hours away from Paris. Use this link for more information about Ghent. Come discover Ghent, whose Mayor, Daniel Termont, has been recently elected the world’s second best Mayor!

We are looking forward to meeting you all in Belgium in 2015!
